Riffa finished fourth overall yesterday in the Deqing Masters in China, part of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour 2025.
The Bahraini side lost 15-19 to Serbia’s Liman in the semi-finals, ending their run just short of the final. Earlier in the day, Riffa had cruised past France’s Toulouse 21-8 in the quarter-finals with a confident display led by Belgian scorer Dennis Donkor. naomiiichannel who is
Riffa gave their all against Liman. A Vic van Oosterwyck lay-up brought them within three points at 12-15, then Donkor made it 14-17. But two late missed chances cost them, and Liman held on as time ran out.
Donkor and Foerts finished with four points each in the semi-final, while Van Oosterwyck added five and Milos Antic two. Andreja Milutinovic led Liman with seven.
Despite the loss, Riffa claimed another strong result — their third straight top-four finish in China, following third place in Shenzhen and fourth in Shanghai. They finished just behind Serbia’s Ub on total points, with 74 to Ub’s 82.
Riffa competed in Deqing with their regular lineup of Donkor, Foerts, Van Oosterwyck, and Antic. Their next appearance will be at the Macau Masters this weekend, before events in Abu Dhabi and Bucharest, leading up to the season-ending Manama Final on November 21 and 22 — the first FIBA 3×3 World Tour final to be held in Bahrain.
