Manama, October 17, 2025 – The Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF), in collaboration with The Indian School Bahrain (ISB), successfully hosted the ICC Criiio Cricket Festival and Tournament for girls on Friday, October 17, at the ISB Isa Town campus. This exciting event was part of the ICC Women’s Cricket Week 2025, celebrating the spirit of women’s cricket and community engagement.
Eight Teams, One Thrilling Tournament
The tournament saw eight teams of students from Classes 5 to 12 competing with energy, sportsmanship, and teamwork. In a nail-biting finale, the ISB Spartan Team, captained by Parvathi Salesh (Grade 8), edged out ISB Super Star, led by Faiha Abdul Hakeem, winning by just five runs.
The matches kicked off at 2:00 pm, supervised by 14 officials from the Bahrain Cricket Federation, led by Mr. Azeem ul Haq and Mr. Arshad Khan. All participants received team jerseys and refreshments, ensuring a fun and memorable experience.
Promoting Physical Activity and Inclusivity
The Criiio Cricket Festival is part of a global ICC initiative designed to promote physical activity, inclusivity, and community engagement through cricket. Developed by leading educational experts, the program:
- Encourages individuals of all abilities to stay active
- Builds confidence through gamified, small-sided cricket experiences
- Supports Physical Literacy, fostering a lifelong enthusiasm for physical activity and overall well-being
This innovative approach ensures that cricket is accessible, fun, and educational, helping young players develop skills while enjoying the game.

The ISB campus buzzed with excitement as students demonstrated team spirit, determination, and joy throughout the event. The occasion was graced by ISB Head of Physical Education Mr. Sridhar Siva and Physical Education teacher Mr. Vijayan Nair, who encouraged the young athletes and cheered on the participants.
